What a great open day

April 27th 2016 - By Mick Berry

The dust has now settled on our first event of the year, an open day celebrating 60 years of the Leyland Atlantean and I hope all those of you who attended had a great day.  We had a fantastic mix of people and I know I spoke to a lot of you throughout – so thanks all for the feedback and all the inquiries and new members who signed up or said you would.

On the day we had a good turn out of stalls and visiting vehicles, with lots of the visitors kindly running their vehicles on the service and this proved very popular.   We’re also really grateful for all of the kind words from all of the traders who brought their sales stalls – we hope you had a good day too.

If you enjoyed your day and want to do it all again then come and join us at our next event which is set for Sunday 3rd July and this time will be held in Saltaire.  We’ll be on the field at the bottom of the Shipley Glen Tramway (the oldest working cable tramway in Britain) and will have bus routes operating around the area.  The site is across the road from Roberts Park and a 5min walk from the centre of Saltaire – a World Heritage Site.  Well worth a visit – please do come if you can.  As ever we’ll have a full colour program of the event, on site catering and toilets, free bus services and lots of historic vehicles on show.  Find out more by visiting our events page
