The Keighley Bus Museum Trust hold three major events each year, Â these are usually held in April, July and October.
The April and October events held on the last Sunday of the month, are often themed open days held at the museum’s Riverside depot which is partly emptied of buses and filled with transport memorabilia and collectables stalls. Onsite refreshments are available along with toilet facilities. All of the collection of vehicles is on display to view along with visiting vehicles and a free to uses bus service linking Keighley town centre and all transport links to Keighley and more often than not a second route is available to ride on which changes from event to event.
The July event which is held on the first Sunday of the month is the museum’s major vintage bus running day. This is held in Saltaire on the playing fields opposite Robert’s park. A large selection of museum and visiting buses are available to ride on which link Saltaire, Shipley and Baildon. Lots of shops, cafes and pubs are open which are all accessible by the vintage bus service so there is something for all the family!! On the rally field itself are displays of buses old and new complemented by transport sales stalls. A walk across the field itself takes you to Shipley Glen tramway where you can travel by cable tram to the top of the Glen .
To bring a bus for static display or to run on the free vintage bus service or a transport related sales stall to any of KBMT’s events please contact 07546 704558 or e-mail email@example.com.
